Can I collect pine cones, rocks, or seashells as souvenirs?
A. Unfortunately, in order to protect and preserve the natural landscape and wildlife habitats at Asilomar, the law prohibits the collecting of marine life, rocks, driftwood, or kelp; the cutting, destroying, or collecting of park plants or plant parts; and the feeding, harassing, or injuring of wild animals. In short, we want to insure that everything remains exactly where it is and as nature intended it to be for the longterm benefit of this natural ecological environment.
