Can I experience any pregnancy symptoms right after conception, before missed period?
Answer If you have a normal 28 day cycle (from the first day of your period until the first day of your next period) ovulation occurs around cycle day #14. You can become pregnant if you have unprotected sex on cycle day #13, 14, 15, or 16. YOu canot become pregnant on any other day of the month. If you do become pregnant on one of those days, a pregnancy test will not show a positive result until 14-21 days later. If your last period started on Marach 6, you probably ovulated on March 19. You can, of course, start feeling symptoms of fatigue, nausea, and breast tenderness a day or two after conceiving, but not any of the other symptoms of pregnancy. The best time for a pregnancy test is seven days after missing your next period, if you do. At 36, your chances are excellent for getting pregnant. I have patients who are in their late forties who easily become pregnant. (My oldest patient was a 53 year old woman, having her 23rd child). Good Luck.
