Can I fill a cheque with the beneficiarys banks name and account number, instead of Name ?
you are over cautious and it may lead to confusion also you do one think issue cheque in favour your friends name and the bank name branch name and account number it is called as protective crossing and valid as per negitiable instruements act example indian bank thousand lights branch chennai a/c in the name of revathi sampath bearing a/c no 83456798 then the amount will be credited ONLY TO REVATHI SAMPATH A/C THAT TOO ONLY IN INDIAN BANK THOUSAND LIGHTS CHENNAI BRANCH (Suppose the same person is having an account with dena bank teynampet chennai it can’t be credited to that a/c) AND THAT TOO ONLY THE A/C NO GIVEN (SUPPOSE SHE I HAVING ONE SB A/C AND ONE CURRENT ACCOUNT AND IF YOU HAVE GIVEN INSTRUCTIONS TO GIVE CREDIT ONLY SB A/C THEN THE AMOUNT CAN’T BE CREDITED TO HER CURRENT A/C EVENTHOUGH THE SAME BANK AND SAME BRANCH
