Can i fix hacked, spamming, hotmail account?
If you are receiving these spam e-mails, your account more than likely was not hacked. Some spammers are using the “Send To” e-mail as the “Display Name” of their e-mail address, so that it will seem like it’s coming from yourself. Who better to trust content you receive from than yourself, right? If you aren’t receiving e-mails that apparently come from you, but others are telling you they’re receiving them, then it was hacked. I’ve had a couple of friends have this happen to in the past that I’ve received spam from in my gmail account. There are two easy ways to fix this: First, log into your Hotmail account, and then change the password. Click on “Options” over on the right, then “More Options”, and under “Manage You Account” click on “View and Edit Your Personal Information”. Look for the Password under “Account Information” and the “Change” link off to the right. Click on that, and follow the prompts. If your browser asks you if you want to save the new password, do so.
