Can I install applications from Kubuntu (KDE) and Xubuntu (Xfce) in Ubuntu?
12. Yes, you can. No problem. For example, some people install K3B as CD burning application in Ubuntu, even though K3B is part of KDE. Note that the first time that you install a KDE (or Xfce) application in Ubuntu, a lot of supporting KDE (or Xfce) files have to be installed as well. That’s the reason why some people prefer to stick to Gnome applications (Ubuntu).
