Can I install the AutoUploader on a Linux computer?
Ok, so you use Linux… good for you! Multiply’s AutoUploader is built on Adobe AIR, which is available for Linux. AIR for Linux is currently alpha-quality, but it is possible to run the AutoUploader nonetheless… with a few caveats. Here’s what you’ll have to do: • Grab Adobe AIR for Linux Alpha. Make sure it’s been made executable: mycomputer:~$ chmod +x adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin Then, execute the file using your super-user account: mycomputer:~$ su mycomputer:~# ./adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin …or sudo, if your distro of choice uses that: mycomputer:~$ sudo ./adobeair_linux_a1_033108.bin • Get the AutoUploader .air file directly from here. Your browser should offer to open the file for you using the program “Adobe AIR Application Installer.” Do so. • Choose your install path and preferences. Then you’re done!
