Unless you’re immediately going to start playing professionally for a team (which, no offence, is unlikely to begin with), you won’t need a work permit to play for a team. You will need the usual visa for living here, however, and a work permit if you’re going to get a job. The best way is to just look around for amateur teams in the area you move to, find-out when the teams have training and/or matches, then get talking with people involved at the club. There’s no harm in letting you attend training sessions with the team and, you never know, they might want you to play for them 🙂 From then on, you’ve just got to work really hard and hopefully you’ll be noticed by better teams’ scouts and work your way up like that 🙂 Hope that helps…
