Can i make a leotard out of satin?
The tutu you’ve selected there is for the role of Kitri in the ballet Don Quixote. You can likely find several similar tutus in any costume catalogue simply by searching for Kitri or Don Quixote. Often times it’s cheaper just to order a tutu. If time is money and you need 20 hours to make it plus the costs of materials it can make more sense just to buy one (try e-bay). It may even tear (satin is a weak material). You can do a satin overlay if you wish, but you’ll need to have at least half of the leotard made of a stretchy material. You can do the leotard and overlay in velvet. The leotard in your picture is velvet. Out of all the costume companies I’m always impressed with
