Can I obtain personal legal advice and service from OALS?

0

No. OALS does not represent individual faculty or staff members, administrators or students in personal legal matters outside the scope of their business as university officials. Individuals needing personal assistance may want to contact the State Bar of Wisconsin Lawyer Referral and Information Service, 257-4666, or the Legal Information Center, 265-2396, which is staffed by UW–Madison law students who provide basic, free advice, counsel and referral.
