Can I personally mail individual pieces that have a permit imprint on them?
No, because the permit imprint refers to sending multiple mailpieces of 200 or more for standard class and 500 or more for first class. The permit imprint does not automatically imply that the postage is already paid for that mailpiece. Simply cover the permit imprint with a first class stamp for leftover mailpieces that you wish to mail.
