Can I point an EthIR Beam towards an infrared-ready printer and connect for network printing?
That is not the proper way to connect a network printer to the network. A network printer must be hardwired to an existing network and accessible as a shared resource. A notebook or device must then be told of the shared device’s existence. As with an Ethernet network connection, an infrared network connection merely provides a vehicle for the transmission of data to and from the computer device that is connected to the network except it does so wirelessly.
