No. An EthIR Beam provides infrared connectivity for only ONE device at a time. . Usually the laptop or PDA tries to “discover‘ an IR device, EthIR LAN in this case. If more then one PDAs are discovering at the same time, it will be the first one that discovers the EthIR LAN that wins the IR connection. Once an IR connection is established, both the PDA and EthIR LAN change to a higher baud rate to communicate. At this point, the other PDA or laptop will not be able to communicate with either devices since it is still using a low baud rate to do discovery.
