Can i revive my French Lavender plants?
French Lavenders can be short lived and are more prone to problems than, for example, English Lavender plants. Often winter and other damage doesn’t really take its toll until quite some time has passed, which could be the reason that 2 have now succumbed. I did wonder whether their roots got damaged too, when you made the holes, though I’m assuming that this was done with care. Overall, they don’t like water-logged soil, so I think that the stresses of winter, plus the water-logging, coupled with the stress of spring growth has taken them out. Plants, like us humans, all have differing strengths ans susceptibilities, and I’m assuming that the one that’s flourishing just had the edge over the other two. I wouldn’t discard them immediately, as they may re-shoot from the base – I think there’s less chance if all of the above ground stems are dead though. You can take cuttings from them, so you could perhaps propagate from your hardier plant this year. Its provenance could stand your new
