Can I save my existing Hauptwerk settings to transfer to a new computer?
Hauptwerk version 3.10 and later has native settings backup/restore/import/export functionality to do it for you. Please see the backups section in the user guide. For older Hauptwerk versions the procedure was as follows: • Make a backup copy of your [Hauptwerk installation folder]/HauptwerkUserData folder to CD or DVD. • Now set up or re-install your new hard-drive or computer ready for Hauptwerk, making sure that all current operating system and driver updates are applied and that it meets the prerequisites. • Install the latest version of Hauptwerk for which you have a license. You can find the latest versions for download here. There is no need to install old versions or re-apply old upgrades.
