The card would have been deactivated in order for the other card to be activated. Each card has to be paired to only one box and that box must belong to the card subscriber. Press Services 4 5 to get to the System Details screen. This will show the Version Number and Serial Number, which when put together give you the NDS number which is used for the card encryption for the channels. The NDS number can also be found on the underneath of the box on a sticker along with the barcode representing the NDS number. In some cases the sticker may show an extra letter or number at the end of the NDS number. If anyone tries to use this card, they will get a message on screen saying something along the lines of ‘This viewing card is not authorised, please contact the broadcaster for more information’.
