Can I take glucophage (Metformin) while using the Insulite PCOS System?
Yes. If you decide to take glucophage (Metformin) while using the Insulite PCOS System, please make sure to take the glucophage separately from the PCOS-GlucX product. GlucX contains fiber, which may interfere with the absorption of glucophage if they are taken simultaneously. We recommend taking the PCOS-GlucX 4 hours apart from the glucophage. Glucophage acts as an anti-hyperglycemic; it reduces glucose thereby reducing insulin levels. It is prescribed to women with PCOS because the condition is caused by Insulin Resistance.
