Can I use a phone line networking solution to share the connection?

0

BellSouth previously offered a home networking solution using a 2Wire Portal and HPNA (Home Phone Network Adapter) that networks over standard telephone lines. The service is no longer available to new customers. Since both voice and data will travel on the same line you must order HPNA adapters for all PCs on your network for it to work correctly. The quality of internal phone wiring in the home has a major effect on the quality and speeds when using HPNA. Bad wiring and poor connections within house will degrade (or possibly prevent) optimum performance and is not uncommon.
