Can I use a TENS unit to help constipation? ?

No hon you cannot use a TENS unit for this reason. It will not work. The tens works on pain receptors from the nerve endings up. It will not do anything for your constipation except possibly make it more painful. If you are having serious issues with your bowels please contact your doctor, that is a far better practice than improperly using your TENS unit. Hope this helps.
I don’t think you can use the TENS unit to relieve the constipation directly. Massage IS good for constipation, as is a high fibre diet and plenty of fluid. If you are using the TENS machine to help relieve pain in various places, this might reduce the amount of pain relief medicine you need and indirectly reduce the amount of constipation you suffer.
