Can Mix bread Chihuahua/jack russells be mean?
Any breed can be mean. Several factors may cause this, including previous abuse, fear, or a simple predilection for meanness. Perhaps your 3-year old accidentally hurt him at some time, or maybe another child did, which causes him to associate children with pain. Another possibility is some kind of internal injury or malformation. If he has a distended belly it could be painful for him to be picked up from underneath. One of my Yorkies used to yelp whenever we picked him up from underneath his belly. Turned out he had a huge gas bubble in his stomach that caused tenderness there. Mylanta cured the problem. Maybe you should schedule a trip to the vet to rule out that sort of problem. Good luck.
