Peachtree 2009 and its database, Pervasive, can be mistakenly identified as an intrusion threat by many firewall and anti-virus programs. If not addressed properly, this may cause the installation to fail or Peachtree may not start or run properly. For more information about Firewalls and Peachtree, link to http://www.peachtree.com/support/firewall_install_tips.cfm Your firewall settings are preventing Peachtree’s database, Pervasive, from starting. Installation is interrupted. Follow these steps to check the Task Manager, Processes tab. • If necessary, cancel the installation. On your desktop, press CTRL+ALT+DELETE, Task Manager, Processes tab. In that list, do you see w3dbsmgr.exe? If w3dbsmgr.exe is listed, highlight it, the select End Process. • Open My Computer. Go to C, pvsw, bin. In there, find w3dbsmgr.exe and double-click. After doing that, try the installation again.
