In this version of the Manager, most files must be closed in order to be backed up by Zipup Backup’s client. However we have the ability to backup Sql Server databases and Exchange (email) databases, without closing them! For other files or databases that are left usually left open all the time, we advise that you plan to make a copy of the file/database using the “copy” utility of the software that has created the file or database and then back up that copy. We can assist you in setting this up so that these steps automatically occur as part of the backup.
