An Oracle Files and CMSDK datasource is planned for OmniPortlet, allowing links to Oracle Files and CMSDK content to be searched and published in OracleAS Portal. You can also use Portal URL items to link to content stored in Oracle Files and CMSDK, use UltraSearch to perform federated searches across Portal and Oracle Files/CMSDK repositories, and use WebDAV to copy content between the two repositories. The Portal and CM SDK teams are working together to further integrate the two products. In the longer term, more Files authoring and management features will be exposed in Portal so that users will not have to leave the Portal to author content in a Files repository. The objective is to give Portal users the option of storing content in the Files repository without sacrificing the Portal content management features that they now enjoy.
