Can parents donate their settlement benefits to schools that do not serve a high percentage of underprivileged families?
Yes. Parents or companies that purchased eligible Microsoft software products may donate up to $650 of their consumer vouchers to any school, following the instructions for transfers printed on the back of the vouchers. Any school, PTA, or other organization can receive up to $10,000 in donated settlement benefits regardless of whether they serve a high percentage of underprivileged students or not. The donated settlement benefits can be redeemed for cash after the purchase of any new desktop, laptop, tablet computers, printers, scanners, monitors, keyboards, pointing devices, or any non-custom desktop software, sold by any company, not just Microsoft, as set forth in the Settlement Agreement.
