Can speeches be videotaped?
Yes. If feasible, it might be a good idea to videotape speeches. Keeping the tape is especially useful at the high school level, because providing evidence of the Speaking Essential Skill for the purposes of awarding a diploma begins in 2012. If you want to keep a videotape of a student’s speech in his or her collection of evidence, then an individual tape must be made. However, it is not necessary to do so. Videotapes may contain speeches by several students. They can be kept in a central location and cross-referenced with the entry sheets, described below.
