Can students transfer from one institution to another between year 1 and before the +3 commences?

0

In exceptional circumstances a 1+3 student may transfer at the end of year one providing that a sound case can be made for the requirements of the proposed thesis. Requests must be made in advance and students can only transfer to ESRC recognised institutions. A case should be submitted with an updated proposed work timetable in the July of the end of the first year. This submission must also be accompanied by supporting documentation from both the existing and proposed institutions. If approved the proposal will then be considered as part of the normal continuation process.
