Can the twelve months of DRANZCOG Advanced training be completed in two different hospitals?
Yes, provided the appropriate arrangements are made with the hospitals concerned. In such a case, the Supervisors’ report requested at six months is to be completed by the first hospital, which will be the usual DRANZCOG training, and the nine and twelve months Supervisors’ reports by the second hospital.Note: You will need to advise the JCCO Secretariat at the RANZCOG of this split training in order that an additional procedures log book is provided rather than the set of booklets provided for the full twelve months of training at one hospital. You will also need to ensure that the second hospital is accredited for DRANZCOG Advanced training. If there is no GP Obstetrician practising at the hospital arrangements will need to be made by the hospital for the provision of a mentor for the DA training.
