Can Vegans Dine on Train Excursions?
Travelers may sometimes chose to take their journey by train. Sometimes, it is a quick and inexpensive way to travel. Others may do it for the scenic ride. Many countries offer domestic service or even luxury train service. Europe has their Euro Rail service which makes stop in many European countries and is an inexpensive alternative for travelers. Other countries in Asia have the luxury train, “The Orient Express” made famous by film. This offers superior service, comfort, and dining. Other trains such as ones in India provide inexpensive alternatives to travel and may just contain small, simple sleeper stalls. Vendors may just walk by each car and attempt to sell their food items or snacks. In India, many of these will be vegan. In the United States, the Amtrak long distance, sleeper trains have dining service for special diets. Australia has their own train service which provides meals for distance travelers.
