Can vets rarsp horses teeth.?

My vet’s practice has 3 vets who have qualified in equidentistry so i am very happy for them to rasp my horses teeth. The best thing to do is speak to your vet to see if they have the qualifications to do it as my mates vets don’t and they made a right dogs ear of it causing her horse pain due to overgrown teeth as they didn’t do it properly over many years, resulting in him not being able to chew his food properly and dropping alot, making him lose weight. She only found that out when she got a proper horse dentist in.
