Take this from me, because I have hypo thyroid, my mom has hypo thyroid, my brother has hypo thyroid, and my grandmother has hypo thyroid. LOW VITAMIN D DOES NOT CAUSE HYPOTHYROIDISM. I find it funny how hypo thyroid is two words but hypothyroidism is one…. ANYWAYS, I’ve lived a few streets from the beach my entire life and I go there almost every day, (Except in the winter. I live in a temperate zone) and I was diagnosed with hypo thyroid after I randomly cried in 5th grade over and over. I’m in 7th grade now, and I know that sounds young, but, believe you me, I’ve had enough field experiences to have more maturity than my 20 year old brother. (He’s not the brother with hypo thyroid. That’s the 16 year old one. He turns 17 on Thursday) Generally, hypo thyroid has nothing to do with low Vitamin D. And heightening your Vitamin D doses will do NOTHING.
