Patricia Says: April 5th, 2008 at 6:16 pm WILLETS POINT INDUSTRY AND REALTY ASSOCIATION LAUNCHES AD CAMPAIGN IN NEW YORK DAILY NEWS DEMANDING INFRASTRUCTURE AND BASIC SERVICES (NEW YORK) NY April 5, 2008 — In an Open Letter published in the Daily News on Saturday, April 5th, the Willets Point Industry and Realty Association (WPIRA) invites Mayor Michael Bloomberg to a meeting in Willets Point, Queens to discuss their vision of the area’s future. The Open Letter was the first in a series of ads in the Daily News and Queens Chronicle. A similar Open Letter appears in the April 3rd edition of the Queens Chronicle, addressed to Mayor Bloomberg and Queens Borough President Helen Marshall. In that letter, the Queens Borough President is also invited to meet with the second and third generation land and business owners in Willets Point.
