Running WinBUGS v1.4.x under Linux using Wine is described by Martyn Plummer on his web site. Others have reported successful and stable running under VMware. Locally at the MRC Biostatistics Unit (home of WinBUGS) we are using CrossOver Office from Codeweavers to run WinBUGS under Linux. Far more extensive resources for other versions of BUGS which operate under Linux are available on the OpenBUGS website.
