Carnival cruise–can you carry packs of pop/water onboard?

Each paying passenger is allowed one 12 x 12 cooler to take on board, per Carnival’s rules.  You can fill it with any beverage with the exception of alcohol, including beer.  However, each paying passenger 21 years of age and over is allowed to bring on ONE bottle of wine or champagne.  You can bring the alcohol in your carry on or pack it in your suitcase, but that is all that is allowed.  Have fun on your cruise!

We have taken on Pepsi (can’t stand Coke), bottled water, juice boxes (for our daughter). We packed them in a plastic bin, slap on a cabin sticker, give to the porter with a tip. Beer and alcohol, other than wine, isn’t allowed. If it’s found, it will be confisicated and given back to you after the cruise. If you buy booze in a port, usually it will be kept for you until after the cruise. The cruiselines are screening your luggage and carryons more carefully. But I haven’t heard about anyone’s water and pop being confisicated. If you don’t mind Coke products, you can probably save money by buying the card. There will be tables set up all over on most ships on the first day to pitch their cards.
