Cheap acoustic guitar… which make should i get?

You listed Fender, Yamaha, and Martin. They’re all good guitars. I believe the Yamaha is the best selling in the entry level class. But really go and play them. Pick the one that you like. Because the tone and feel will keep you playing much longer than a brand name. These entry level guitars that you listed will work fine and make beautiful sounds. The more exotic and expensive guitars will make a more wide variety of sounds and unique tones. That’s why they’re more expensive. Here’s what I would do. Go to a local musical instrument store and try a bunch of guitars in your price range. In my opinion the most bang for the buck would be a electric acoustic that has a cut away. Check out the neck and make sure it fits your hand. Then listen to the tone of the guitar. Also go through the frets and make sure you don’t get in fret buzz. If you do make sure the store does a proper setup on the guitar before you buy it.

I’d be surprised if you can get a cheap Martin. If there is a Martin in your price range I would say get that for sure. Otherwise I would go with the Yamaha. They make surprisingly good guitars for little money. As I said though, the Martin is much better than the Yamaha if you can afford it.

These are all pretty expensive, try a rogue or the pawn shop.most people think buying a new guitar is the best route but the older the guitar the richer a more detailed the sound quality is going to be,looks mean nothing.
