com community and Allaire, how would you recap the last year?
JA: The last year for the industry has been real jarring for a lot of people. We went through a period of over investment and irrational optimism and that continued to snowball and the natural effect are playing themselves out, so you know, we have a period of adjustment that we are going through. And that’s great; I think it’s good and healthy that we are going through that adjustment. It has been painful for a lot of people, it has changed our perception, but we think that is turning into an opportunity to create a highly differentiated platform that is affordable and accessible to a lot of people, that emphasizes real value, real quality user experience, form and function, and having the technology to make that straightforward. FM: Is the .com meltdown the prime reason for Allaire and Macromedia merging? JA: No, I wouldn’t say it’s the prime reason, I think there is a couple of things to note.
