Complexity and the random factor?
The game of Hattrick is somewhat complex. This complexity can be as small or as large as the examiner (i.e. eye of the beholder) wants to make it. Also, since it is believed the Hattrick game engine is based upon numbers, percentages, and probability, there is an inherit random factor that exists in the game which can be extremely difficult to be accounted for. This perceived complexity and randomness can make the process of explaining statistics quite tasking. Therefore, the KISS (keep it simple stupid) methodology has been adapted along with the founding assumption that the team with the higher total team Hatstat rating should win the match. There are other factors that exist in this game, like the ability to set match orders to, play it cool, match of the season, and normal, which arguably effect the how a team plays on the pitch. Since this factor is hidden from all eyes except the team owner, and since the effects are not factually based or explicitly known, it is hard to justify
