Loan repayment is based on the total amount of loans incurred, not the number of years in school. Students are eligible to apply for the loan repayment program after they’re done school, are licensed to practice, and have been offered a position at an NHSC-approved position. If you have enough loans to justify applying for more than two years of loan repayment, you may apply for additional repayment after the initial two-year commitment ends.
