Could foot-and-mouth disease affect dogs?

0

Dogs and Humans are not considered to be affected by Foot and Mouth, but can spread the virus by contact with infected animals or any material an infected animal may have been in contact with. As the virus is airborne, areas outside the immediate vicinity of an affected animal may also be contaminated.

Answer by retroglide is incorrect. Dogs & humans ARE susceptible to the Foot and Mouth disease. Ask any kindergarten or preschool teacher. It’s more common in young children and not in adults. This is not to say that adults can not get it…they can! It’s just very rare in adults. And yes, dogs can get it too. They develop blisters between the pads of their paws and in their mouths.
