Could i use aftershave as the scent for a homemade car air freshener?
It depends whether you want your car to reek of aftershave! Making air fresheners is easy. Mechanically speaking, they are little more than a scrap of cardboard or cloth that has been soaked in something smelly (look at those green tree-shaped ones, for example!). Everything else is just window dressing. So you have a lot of freedom, a bit like key-rings, they can be anything, it depends what you like making. You can make ones that hang, ones that just sit there, even ones that stick on the windows if you don’t mind paying for a sucker cap. When I was a kid, we used to make ones using a ball of stuffed cloth (stuffed with something very light), about the size of a satsuma. The ball would be the head and we’d glue little eyes, nose and a mouth on, and also a felt hat. The piece de resistance was little feet with a sticker pad underneath, with which you would stick this monstrosity to the dashboard.
