Initially, the functionality is likely to remain as it is. However, over time we may find that it is actually easier to distribute the data entry. For example, some current processes require that a multi-part form be coded and sent to the Registrar’s office for entry. It may take less effort to simply enter the data at the source. Even in instances of distributed data entry, the data custodian is still responsible for the validity and accuracy of the data.
