Did anyone install HID lights on the Goldwing GL1800?
I put a set of HID lights from I believe the QD company, on our BMW. They were AMAZING! The BMW LT had the most pitiful OEM headlight I had ever seen and not buying the HID was not an option. Hard to believe the previous four owners used the bike without upgrading the light. I spent just about the same amount on PIAA “upgraded” bulbs first, and just wasted my money. I paid around $100 for the entire kit and a spare bulb. I bought the 5k blue/white bulb. What really amazed me was I was then able to use Motolights, the HID and high beam all at the same time, all the time, and rarely had any oncoming traffic flash me due to annoying lights. Best lighting system I have every used. I have not had a chance to ride the GW in the dark yet so I have no comparison to speak of with our recently purchased Wing.
