Did ferdinand porsche design a diesel engine?

0

Prof. Dr. h.c. Ferdinand Porsche (Born September 3, 1875 – DiedJanuary 30, 1951) was an Austrian automotive engineer. Porsche was born in Vratislavice nad Nisou, Bohemia, which is now part of the city of Liberec in the Czech Republic, known also as Maffersdorf in German. Porsche is best known for designing the original Volkswagen Beetle and for his contributions to advanced German tank designs: Tiger I, Tiger II and the Elefant. Adolf Hitler honored Porsche in 1937 when he was awarded the German National Prize for Art and Science, one of the rarest decorations in the Third Reich. Porsche’s son, Ferry Porsche, is the eponym for Porsche automobiles, initially based to a large extent on the Volkswagen (Beetle) design.

maybe he migh have designed a Diesel Engine but I am sure it wasnt for cars I mean maybe it was for tractors but none of the early porsche was every fitted with a diesel engine well I have a doubt in his front engine lineup like the very stupid Porsche 944 but none of the porsche in the 911 or the boxter and cayman or even the Cayenne has ever been fitted with a diesel engine.
