There are many who question the validity of Florence Griffith Joyners 100m world record and suspect that she used performance enhancing drugs. Her untimely and tragic death and the fact that no woman has even come close to her WR both give credibility to suspicions that she had used performance enhancing drugs. Hers is a tragic story and one that is “unspoken” in the track and field community.

Flo Jo wasn’t ever caught. But, she did die at early age. Some people have questions about her sudden death. Could it have been because of some unknown substance at that time? Actually, we will probably never know! It’s been so long now. Rip Flo Jo….
