My father always told me that Muhammad “the guy you called Mo” used to travel around the desert and the middle east. He was a nomadic merchant and raider. He came across some Jews and made camp with them, several times through out the years. He was therefore heavily influenced by them when he invented the religion of Islam. First of all note that Islam is invented at around 600 AD (or CE). Whereas Judaism was born more than 3000 BCE. Islam claims to be based on both Judaism and Christianity (which also preaches that it is based on the teaching of a certain Jewish carpenter turned preacher- Jesus). Islam claims that Muhammad is the final and true messenger of God but embraces Jesus and Moses — however Moses was never directly referred to by any scripture of the bible only as a random person among the travelers out of Egypt, originally.
