Did the Germans call the French resistance “terrorists” during WWII?

I don’t think so, the French were the ones that pissed the Germans off in the first world war with where they made the Germans sign the treaty of versailles.

Yes they did, but the French resistance were right to fight back. One or two people on here have some bizarre ideas about it. They’re obviously the ones who would have quite happily collaborated with the enemy. Whatever you think about the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, if you don’t understand the concept of fighting against those who occupy your country then you’re going around with your head up your ****. If the French Resistance could have, they would have taken the fight inside the German borders.

Actually, I have read several books written by German soldiers who fought in WW2. They do indeed refer to resistance fighters as ‘terrorists’. Their feeling was that the civilians should ‘get the hell out of the way and let the soldiers fight the war’. And once a country surrendered anyone who still fought them were ‘terrorists’. They also called Russian ‘partisans’ terrorists as well, even though Russia never surrendered as a nation.
