Did the sirens sound when the tornado hit Anadarko Oklahoma?

Anadarko Woman Recounts Close Call Angie Moser told KOCO-5 that she had been watching television in bed with her 18-month-old and 7-year-old children by her side when the wall in the children’s bedroom caved in, burying the family under sheet rock, wood, insulation and a pile of bricks. Moser said the electricity had gone out moments before and that sirens in town did not go off. Emergency management officials confirmed with Eyewitness News 5 that they had tried to sound the sirens in Anadarko but were unable to because of the power outage. By the time they were able to access a backup generator, the storm had passed. Moser said her toddler’s room looks like a patio and that the bed can’t be seen because of all the debris that is on top of it. She said she is sure that if her child had been sleeping in that room, he would have been killed or at least hurt. Sources: http://www.koco.com/news/19456271/detail.
