Not all schools require the SAT and some of the more competitive are making it optional. Bard, College of the Holy Cross, Bates, Providence College, and Wheaton are some of the schools that do not require the SAT. However, if a student has taken the test and the results are sent to the school, the results could be used in the decision making process. Make sure that you check to see if the schools to which you are applying all require the SAT.
