Do crocodiles live in the Mississippi River?

I am not at all an expert, but I do not think crocodiles live in the Mississippi River. It is my understanding that crocs typically live in places where salt and freshwater mix. For this reason it would seem possible that crocs could inhabit the lower Mississippi River, but I do not think they do. According to a brief search of the topic, the only place that crocs live in the US are zoos and southern Florida, particularly, the Everglades. The big river is full of their cousin though…..Alligators.
