Do dragonfly natural soaps contain lye?

0

No! No well made soap contains lye (sodium hydroxide). ALL soaps, however, start out as an alkali (this is the lye) and oils. When they are combined, saponification occurs. Once saponification is complete, however, you are left with only soap, glycerin and superfat. Superfat is that extra bit of oil that is left over in the soap that adds extra moisturizing qualities to soap.
