That’s unusual. You should take your female to the vet to make sure there were no problems that caused the kittens to die that would effect the mom. Sometimes it just happens sometimes there are infections…You know. And also please get your cat spayed. There are many health benefits. Here’s a little list for you: -# No heat cycles, therefore males will not be attracted # Less desire to roam # Risk of mammary gland tumours, ovarian and/or uterine cancer is reduced or eliminated, especially if done before the first heat cycle # Reduces number of unwanted cats/kittens # Helps cats live longer, healthier lives If you want more info visit http://www.spayusa.org/ If you insist on keeping your cat unspayed here’s a website that helps with pregnancy/kittens: http://www.cat-pregnancy-report.com/ Hope I helped!

Not always no but by the sounds of your cats experience it seems she had a premature birth, first time mother cats are more likely to have a premature than others,it is simply one of those things and if young their wombs are not large enough to carry to full term, so kittens are born to early, have had this experience even though the mother cat had a good diet and so on,but even if not very young some cats are of a small build so are more likely to be unable to carry to full term, kittens born before the 56th day never survive, now keep an eye one her as she may well feel down as she has mothering instincts but no kittens, this can make some cats pine and they search for their kittens as if unaware there isn’t any,she may also have milk so may need a vet check to be sure all is well with her, sorry about the experience it is upsetting,as i said a cat we fostered had a premature birth due to being of a small frame size.
