The skin on the legs is relatively tough, thus no burning. Armpit shaving, on the other hand, affects more sensitive areas — you do not even want to apply deodorant. Then there are women who shave their pubic area. Based on rough comparisons with men, I think that a woman’s public area burns more than a man’s face, at least after the first few time shaving it. I know women who shave their faces, but it doesn’t seem to burn as much as men’s faces, perhaps because the hair is not as coarse. Based on this, I’d say that coarse hair on sensitive skin burns, fine hair on sensitive skin does not burn as much.
